Fancy Nancy

Lydia goes to school at McCool's school. It's a military school on our base and it starts at Kindergarten and goes up to 8th grade. The school had a family literacy contest. Each family was invited to paint a coconut representing their favorite Dr. Seuss book or any book written by an American author.

We chose Fancy Nancy.
This was Lydia's coconut before she made it fancy. (We found it on the side of the road.)

"Nancy likes everything to be fancy. We used things in our craft box that Nancy would have used if this was her coconut. Nancy loves fuchsia, glitter, jewels and lots of accessories."

I manned the glue gun but that is all. She is a great little artist.

We took it into her library last week and it is now on display along side some pretty tough competition.
