Protein Pancake
After sharing that Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie I thought it was time to share new favorite recipe. This one is a lot healthier and a different kind of delicious!
It comes to me from Sarah's kitchen.
Recipe:
3 egg whites
1/2 banana
1/2 cup fruit
1 scoop protein powder
1 tsp flax seed
1/2 c oats
1/2 c almond milk
I blend these up in our Vitamix and then I cook them like a regular pancake, adding a few more minutes for each side.
I make these all time. They contain most of the the same ingredients that we use to make our green smoothies. We just swap out the spinach for the egg whites. Protein pancakes make great leftovers and taste just as good cold. Best of all, Lydia is a fan and I feel so much better feeding her these over any other kind of breakfast.
