DP is getting Married

DP is getting married this weekend and we couldn't be more thrilled for him!!!

He is one of our dearest friends. Tyson has been friends with Devin for SO long and I met Devin on my first day at Weber State University way back in 2001. He is actually the one who helped Tyson gain the courage to call and ask me out on our first date. Its's a long and funny story. I will  forever owe Devin!

But back to Devin. We have been through some major life experiences together (the 3 of us) over the years and some crazy fun ones as well. Here is our random list of memories!

Temple Tuesdays before the mission.
We've been on memorable trips to BYU-Idaho and Bear Lake with him.
Attended some fun concerts....N'Sync at the SLC Olympics and Switchfoot.
I've watched him prepare and head off on his mission and I wrote him along the way.
When he returned home I introduced him to an After School Program. We both worked there together for 4 years. That place holds too many memories to count.
Watching PTI and getting homies at Pizza Mia.
Early morning volleyball class (with Tyson.)
Tennis doubles and always winning the trophy.
3 on 3 Institute ball.
Making Bah 6 CD
Secret Meetings
Smash B
rothers and Showtime.
Friday Little Caesars pizza tradition.
Institute dance with our friends.
Making music videos.
Making soap operas.
Summer with the Brouch.
Smothers Brothers.
The Tories.
Blessed Union of Souls. Mae.
Nap overs at my parents house before work started.
Spent lots of hours watching DP and Tyce play basketball and Soccer along side each other.
We've been on countless double dates with Devin.
Millions of game nights with Devin.
Lots of good pranks.
Hiding from kids at Chasp.
Lots of late night relationship talks trying to figure out life.
I remember spending a New Years at the Conference center and Devin was in the car finishing up President Hinckley's challenge of reading the Book of Mormon before midnight.
Office (t.v) show party where we dressed up like characters.
Impromptu talent show at Baggs.
Chasp Super bowl game.
He lived close to us after we had Lydia and came over a whole bunch.
Watching Jazz games.
Lots of DI runs in Ogden.
Halloween parties.
Watching DP perform at the Mo Tab Christmas concert.
Spending a family sleepover at a hotel in OKC when Devin was on a business trip.
And I could go on and on and on....................good, good times for sure!

Here are a few pictures from 2008 and on.

We made some crazy dares for each other and this one was Devin's!

Celebrating Tyson being accepted in the Navy.
 First time we met Amber!
Devin's 30th birthday party!

Cheering for Tyson's 1st marathon at the mouth of the Ogden canyon. (in the pouring rain)
Tyson couldn't stop shaking....Devin had to help him get dressed after his marathon.
Most recent Bagg's Halloween party.

Friend Thanksgiving.

10 things we love about Devin:
He's solid. Stalwart. Never wavering. Genuinely good.
He makes us stay up late and have fun... forgetting we are 'grownups'
His impromptu love for life...always doing things that are out of the box.
His talent for being creative and coming up with great ideas.
His excellent listening skills makes you feel that he really cares.
His reactions when you have good news to share. (a favorite)
The way he slams his hand down repeatedly while he is laughing at something good.
He is a hard worker and knows how to make any work situation amazingly fun. (A true gift)
He is fiercely competitive and one of Tyson's favorite people to play sports with (or against.)
He is a collector of friends and loves being surrounded by good people.

We are seriously blessed to be counted as one of Devin's friends. Tyson never had brothers close to his age and he definitely considers Devin a brother.

Engagement photo. I've loved having this cute couple on our fridge for the last few weeks.

We've been curiously anxious for the past 10 years to see what special sweetheart Devin would choose to be his eternal companion and we definitely think  he's made a great choice.

Amber you are one lucky girl!
We have no doubt that Devin will take great care of you.
Love you guys! xoxo
