(5 yr old) Figure Skating observations

I realized we've been putting Lydia to bed and then sitting down to enjoy the Olympics without her so one night I decided to let her stay up late and watch the female figure skaters short programs.

Lydia's commentary was cracking us up. Tyson and I kept catching each others eyes from across the room and then I decided to try and write them down as fast as she was spitting them out.

During the Canadian's Kaetlyn Osmond performance:

Is it windy out there cause her skirt is blowing?

Wow! Look at that ground, its SO icy!

Dad, if I could go around and around like that I'd be dizzy.

Mom, if I was an ice skater would you let me use make-up?

Ice skaters are not modest. You can see her tummy and her shoulders.

If I was an ice skater I'd wear modest clothes.

During American's Gracie Gold:

Does she get to choose the music?

She should have done Let it Go, cause she looks like Elsa.

I'd wear that cause she's modest.

During 16 year old Julia Lipnitskaia Russian skate:

Still spinning. Still spinning. Still spinning. Still spinning. Still spinning.

WOW!

I agree with Lydia, WOW!

She was a hoot. I think we'll let her stay up and watch more often.
