General Conference & April Fools

We soaked in General conference this year and enjoyed every bit of it.

On Saturday I turned our main room into a fun zone with lots of stuff for Lydia to do. She was in the room and listened & played. Face painting was a big hit!  During the afternoon session I let her watch a movie in her room and I enjoyed it alone.

On Sunday we did some marshmallow Bingo and crossed out the apostles as each one spoke. She knows all of there names and got excited when she recognized them at the pulpit.

The messages were wonderful. I found some of my favorite quotes here. I believe you can go and print them out for free.

I did 2 small pranks for April Fools day, it was the same day as the Sunday Session.

I pulled off my 2nd annual phone book cake with the Elders! Mmmm! Doesn’t it look tasty? Shhhh don’t tell. I made this one last year.

Undrinkable Juice

I also made some yummy red drinks for my guests using glasses, straws and some Jell-O. I got ‘em good during dinner. Lydia and Elder Shumway fell for it the hardest. I forgot to take my own picture. I got the idea here.

I’m looking forward to diving in and studying a new set of conference talks. I had so many favorites!

On a completely different note, check out this map!

Reed Timmer: Meteorologist and Extreme Storm Chaser posted this today: Friday April 13th.

HIGH RISK already issued for the day 2 SPC outlook for Saturday. LIFE THREATENING outbreak across parts of Kansas through central Oklahoma to as far south as north Texas. I have never seen a setup like this in years. STAY TUNED.

We live right below the light pink area. We’ll be tuning into the weather this weekend!
