Surf Competition

On Dec 5th Lydia competed in her first Surf competition. They had 3 heats for her age groups and they got to catch 2 waves in each heat. She competed against 5 other girls. 

She was glad to have Lexi our friend from church as her board helper.

Lydia was fairly nervous but we were sure proud of her for trying something new. 

In between heats we did this! It made my heart skip a beat. SO scary and SO much fun!

The Liebhardt kids also competed. They did fantastic. After the second heat Tandy and I went down a few water slides and around the lazy river.

After lunch Lydia and I went on the zip line. Woo hoo! 

Tyson and Lydia played some water balloon games while we waited for the judges to deliberate. 

Ella and Lydia did a lot of water sliding. 

Each kid got a medal and a swag bag.

I love watching this sport and I love how much Lydia loves it. It was a long but fun day in the sun.
