Christmas Eve Day

On Christmas Eve day we were invited over to the Hunts for Brunch. April is a fabulous cook. She made crepes, breakfast casseroles, yummy rolls, buttermilk syrup and the works. With all of our contributions it was a delicious feast.

A few days prior all of the kids drew names and bought each other presents for a gift exchange.

Lydia got a magic kit and paddle ball.

The kids opened their gifts from youngest to oldest.

Johne received a Kandama. He was thrilled!
Here are all the cute kiddos.....the energy was high with Christmas being so near.

Johne also liked Colton's new birthday presents.

I love these friends of mine. I love that they care about my mundane. Those are the best kind of friends.
After the party we hit the mall and went to our traditional Christmas eve movie. It just so happened that my family in Utah had chosen the same movie to see the following day.
The movie time was different than we had planned. And we had to get Johne back to his social worker right around dinner time. We didn't have time to go home and eat a nice meal that I had planned to make so instead we ate our Christmas eve dinner at Pizza Hut. It wasn't very glamorous but we had fun just the same and filled up his tummy before we said goodbye.

Since we were already near Tumon we drove to a light display across from the Hilton Hotel. They had done a beautiful job. We took LOTS of photos and enjoyed wandering around in the warm humid air.

This tree was so much fun!

 A cute little hut!

We went home. Drank some eggnog, put out cookies for Santa, opened up some new pj's (picked out by her Dad) and then read the story of Luke 2 and a Christmas Dress for Ellen. I love this night.

It was a lovely day. We were grateful to spend it with friends and to be able to have Johne with us a few hours too. It will be one we will always remember.
