I say goodbye to the kids at the bus stop and then head on my walking/sprinting route around our neighborhood. Here is a phone pic of the view of the ocean. I think its lovely on a clear day.
Lydia on her 2nd day of school in all her band-aid glories. Bugs have been nasty this past month and she's a picker of mosquito bits and scabs. Her legs are finally cleared up with a little bit of bribing.
Every so often I join Tyson for lunch at the hospital. We both order a chicken chopped salad.....salad bar with some grilled chicken. It is delicious. For the firs time we ate out on the back porch of the hospital. The U.S. Navy Hospital ship arrived in September....or maybe it was the last week of August. Yes, it August. My friend husband had been on it for the duration of the summer. Lots of happy family reunions were held when it arrived. I didn't get a tour like I had hoped. I've never been on a Navy ship yet. Maybe someday.
Lewis sometimes thinks that Lydia talks too much. Ha ha.
I bought a new table runner. Yellow is Lydia's favorite color and I love it too. It brightens up the room.
Our friend had Scabies and couldn't come to Lydia's birthday party. Her Mom didn't take her to the doctors and instead uses Head and Shoulder Shampoo to try and clear it up. I took a picture to who our friend who is a doctor and he confirmed what it was. This is common among island kids. It is contagious as well. I've seen and documented an even worse case and never shared it on here. It broke my heart and was hard to look at. But it does go away with medication so that is good.
A picture text from Tyson at work.
I cleaned out our spare bedroom. Lots of friends and family have done service projects to help the people here in Guam and this is where I store it all. It is all nice and organized now. Thank you to everyone who has sent so many helpful things.
Back to school/ meet the teacher night.....3 days after school started.
Took a picture of the Library to show my mother.
Another view. Its pretty huge and air conditioned.
Bubble gum. Bubble gum in a dish.....
We were invited to another 1 year old's birthday party. Tyson couldn't make it but Lydia and I joined in on the fun. It includes A LOT of food served from this jumbo Tupperware containers.
Meet the party girl!
We brought her a cake as well.
Four of our missionaries attended the party as well.
Elder Alo has adopted the Chuukes custom of not using silverware. And boy can this boy put away food. I can never make enough for him. He ate 2 full plates, went back for seconds and told me that he still wasn't full.
I told her brother and sisters to try and teach her how to hold up one finger when asked, "How old are you?" She did it. It was the cutest!!!
The following weekend we sang at the Ward talent show. Elder Teaulealo played his guitar for our number.
Puppies!!!!
Courtney faced timed me while I was in the driveway waiting for my people to get ready for church. She entertained this cute bunch with her bubbling personality. I love this girl so much.
I was at soccer and was freezing. The wind was blowing and we had a thick cloud cover. I pulled out my phone to check the temp and it was 82 degrees. Brrrrr!
I really was cold. I'm not being silly. I wished I had brought a jacket. Ha ha. I miss my those warm days when its 85. ;)
