Here is a peek into the this and that's of our life that make up our days. We are enjoying our summer on Guam so far. Lydia realized that summer seems to go by faster than when she is in school and I told her its true and it's always been that way. ;)
Here is our sweet friend Savelyn. She thinks our house is always cold and she knows where we keep our blankets. Her home doesn't have any AC.
Mary Jane (right) and Elizabeth are sweet little friends. The missionaries asked us to pick up Mary Jane for her baptism. We didn't know her very well but she's darling. We love attending all of the baptisms. (blurry by cute)
Willie is the first ward member we met here. He worked at our hotel. He's amazing. I could go on and on about Willie and I should in a later post. He's just the best. We had him for dinner and he stayed to play some games afterwards.
Lydia needed a few reminders during the last few weeks of school. She had repeat this everyday before walking out the door.
Whenever I'm outside and I get goosebumps or start to mention I'm cold I like check the temperature. Brrrr! I'm not kidding. This feels SUPER cold me these days.
I drove through the jungle in Asan to pick up some of our favorite kiddo's. It was an adventure.
Seeing their living conditions for the first time since they moved kind of made me sad. But man, these kids are happy and so much fun. We love having them over.
No Bake Cookies. Yum.
We face timed with Jake, Logan and Brooklyn. Mayleen, Marsaleen and Smiley couldn't believe that it was night time in Utah and day time here on Guam.
Dropping them off again.
Tyson wore my fit bit one day and he was insanely active. He ran UP Nimitz Hill from the hospital with this boss early in the morning and then played soccer later that night.
Lydia helped the sisters clean the font for Savelyn's baptism. More on that event soon.
We DROVE by the Mango festival 4 times on Saturday and 4 times on Sunday (driving people to the church and back) and we never had time to stop once and check it out. We will make sure to hit it next year.
Ermina became a Grandma. She's only 38. Ha ha. Sooo now I call her Grandma. No, I really don't. But I did once and it made her laugh.
Here is Mayleen with her Mom Murphy, Ermina and baby Stephen (named after the father.)
Missionaries came over for some dinner.
Lydia and the Garcia girls were busy organizing her magnets.
Symmerin came over to have a chat when I was waiting to drive her sister to Activity Days. She cracks me up.
On our way to Activity days my right tire went flat. I'm thinking my off roading on those jungle roads might have been the cause. Luckily Tyson and Lydia were home and they were able to come to our rescue. The girls ended up being a little late for their activity...but they got a lesson in how to change a tire.
Emma and Lydia on the last day of school.
We took the kids to this cute soda shop when they got home from school and then we hit the pool.
This sign made us think of Nathan.
These kids were only a little bit excited that school was out! (Ryan, Kara, Emma, Lydia, Sophie, Kate, Ally & Isabel)
We have wild chickens that roam our neighborhood....and chasing them has become a fun activity for Lydia and Tyson, both.
We drove up to Anderson Air force base to pick up our friends car who flew off the island for the summer and while we were there we hit the pool. I was feeling super sick, but these two had a lot of fun.
Lewis joined in on our latest budget meeting.
Little girls showering off after swimming at Gab Gab.
We've been intensely following the Women's World cup soccer. Can't wait for the game tomorrow!
Sports night is still happening once a month. It's always a fun night and I know a lot of people look forward to it.
After being sick for about 2 weeks I got better just in time to sing with Tyson at Stake Conference. My friends LOVED hearing him sing. We don't sing together often. This is only our 2nd time in the last decade. He's so great.
Our YW's president had a baby the week before girls camp so a few of us took turns filling in for her so she could stay home. It was up on the other side of the island in Yigo. The girls camped in a field behind a church meeting house. I drove up a load of girls and stayed until after dinner. It was HOOOOOOT. But the girls were adorable. Tyson spent one night as a priesthood leader and he roasted all night with a snoring tent mate and didn't sleep much at all.
This was a fun activity that they did.
Camp.
Lydia made a new mermaid friend at the beach.
Lisa, Becky and I took turns watching all of our kids and swimming laps here at the pool part of Gab Gab.
I picked up this crew and we headed down to Merizo to visit this little guy and his Mom Sharon.
Johnny just happened to be at Sharon's house. I LOVE this kid. I was so happy to see him.
Sharon has a beautiful view of the ocean from her balcony.
These blossoms popped out during the month of June.
We love going to the library.
Having a blast at Onward Beach resort.
The Shirai family are getting on a plane tomorrow to go to Manila to get sealed as an eternal family. I wish I were going with them. Soooo neat!
Last Shine was baptized and we helped out Bishop and planned a nice program.
Has anyone seen Lydia?
She has 3 wiggly teeth and none of them want to come out. I asked her dentist if he would pull them and he wouldn't without her consent.
Lewis wanted to snuggle. Ha ha.
Fruit Pizza. Yum!
Charsanne and Isabel asked to come over and I got sick. I finally got better and made another date for them to come. We did a little bit of baking while they were here.
Samantha, Savelyn, Isabel, Charsann. I told them about cream cheese frosting and they said, "NO!" They typically don't like eating anything too sweet.
It has been a fun summer so far. I can't believe we are already 5 days into July. I wish summer would slow down a little bit too.
Props to you if you made it to the bottom of this post. It was a long one. Phew! ;)
