Johnny Boy

Can we talk about how much I love the southern part of the island?

 Because I do.

And here is why.

This is the building the Merizo Group uses to hold their church meetings. It's yellow and lovely.

The reason for our visit to the Southern island was to attend Johnny's baptism.
Things don't start on time here. So we had plenty of time to play on the beach.
The Senior missionaries played with the crabs.

Here is Johnny in his blue. The missionaries hadn't arrived with this whites yet.
He's got a killer smile and a twinkle in his eyes.

Lydia and I played with the little boys. Their dad is the Group leader in Merizo. There names are Lamoni & Moroni.

The kids were digging holes and filling them with hermit crabs. Then they would stick a branch in the hole and see which crabs could climb out.
The Elders finally arrived after a rough day of hiccups. Lydia was so excited to show Elder Kata that she learned how to do the cup song.
I'll let the pictures do all the talking from here.

This picture melts my heart on so many levels. I love this boy and was so proud of his choice to be baptized. (Elder Holmes & Elder Afualo)
Redlee was sitting next to me creating all sorts of cool things with some palm tree leaves.

This one below is a whip. Nice eh?
 He gave it to me.

It was a beautiful day, a beautiful ordinance to witness with lots of beautiful people. After the baptism we went to Johnny's house. His Mom served rice, pork ribs, hot dogs, fried banana's and cake.
