We have been here on the Island for 3 months now. It is slowly starting to feel like home, slowly. I really like our life here, it is strange, different and beautiful. It had been a hard adjustment for sure and I will share more of that soon.
Most of our days are not spent at the beach although many are. Most of them are spent doing the every things that make up our life.
Like getting my hair done. Doesn't my neighbor have a super cute salon? I'm taking Lydia here next week for her turn.
Face Time with my niece Brooklyn is one of my favorite things. I love this baby girl!
We love hanging out at the Collins home. We went to a girls movie one afternoon and then back to their house for dinner and some fun.
I love their backyard so full of palm trees. So beautiful!
I went shopping and to lunch at this yummy place with Paij & Mandi.
Elder Wright, Arcayn & Hokao joined us for dinner.
I teased them on their choice of foot wear. But after they explained I realized they really are a must. It is wet and muddy here and when they are out walking and getting rained on, Crocs sound like a life saver. If they were wearing fancy dress shoes on Guam they would be ruined quick.
After realizing we had locked ourselves out of the house we met Paij and Morgan at the mall Play port.
This is my favorite view when I'm in the kitchen cooking. We finally bought some bar stools.
We baked some Cookie Fudge bars to take to a Missionary Sports night.
I caught Lydia reading my cook books. I'm rubbing off on her. I LOVE cook books!
I drove 3 car loads of members to the church for sports night. I also brought some games and nail polish for the ladies who didn't want to play sports. It was a super fun night.
Volley ball in the gym is always a hit.
Lydia was invited to a super fun birthday party on our street.
I decorated these built in shelves. I had a few other things in mind to put on them but I have yet to find them.
We love this street we moved in for millions of reasons and here are 6 of them.
(Lillian, Emma, Lydia, Sophie, Masen and Kate.)
One afternoon after Lydia got home from school early we went for a walk to find some of this beautiful Star fruit. It was a fun outing that ended very badly. Lydia got stung by a Boonie bee. Those things are mean. It was stuck in here ankle and I had to pry it off.
Take a closer look at this beautiful fruit.
I gave Lydia my old camera. It's worn out, the lens cap is broken and so is the zoom. But she loves it none the less.
I made these yummy no bake cookies.
We were down to only 1 cookie and both Lydia and Tyson wanted to devour the last one. Tyson told Lydia that she could choose to eat the last cookie right that moment or if she waited until the following morning she could have 3 more cookies. She took a while to decide.
She chose to wait for 3 cookies.
I tucked her in bed and then got to work in the kitchen. I should have made Tyson do the baking. ;)
She made a new friend on the bus. Her name is Sarah and she's a sweet heart.
It was a balmy 79 degrees out and she didn't want to be 'cold' so naturally she wore a jacket to school. Ha ha.
Stephanie and my Mom got these bags for me. I love em!We have a little mini mart in our neighborhood. It is the handiest thing known to man. Everyone needs one of these within walking distance. One day all the little neighbor girls went to the store and I needed something too so I supervised.
Throughout this whole month we have been taking Lydia to basketball every week. It is a fundamentals class and the parents participate the entire time.
She improved a lot over the weeks.
Twister is a new favorite game around here.
These three Elders are super. We love having them in our home. (Holmes, Kata, Afualo)
It started pouring rain on us one evening at the basketball court in our neighborhood. I had a library book (Unbroken) in my hands and I had to keep it dry. These two kept on playing and were soaked to the bone.
Don't we have some wacky trees here? The one on the right reminds of a football goal post.
