Grandparents on Guam

We enjoyed every minute of every day with these two. Their trip was just perfect. Obviously not long enough....we would have kept them here for a month. But they needed to get back and report their mission and see everyone else that was patiently waiting their arrival.
Lydia is a lucky girl to have such great Grandparents.
We stayed up late visiting each night. One night Tyson fell asleep on the couch watching a Jazz game. His No Shave November was for his friend Russ.
Lydia loved showing them around church.
This is Lydia & Grandma in the breezeway our side of Sacrament meeting.

Maybe someday I will get to write letters to my very own Sister Goodrich. Who knows.
We watched Frozen with them. Grandpa loved it the most. (sarcasm)
Grandpa made the best play date. These two read so many books, played wooden dolls, lots of card games and watched Lydia's favorite movies together.

She even lets Lydia make up new rules to old games and has the patients to play. She's amazing. Lydia taught Grandpa how to play Frozen Spot it and those two played lots of fun games on his cool ipad.
We took them to Tyson's hospital and on our way inside we got caught in the rain.

They started him in the IT department at first and now he is in the Staff Education department. I'm glad I got to see where he works too.

We needed a new key for our Equinox so we headed to the mall and did some shopping while we were there.

This little munchkin caught our attention. I wanted to take her home. She loved Lydia and didn't stop smiling at us the entire time.

More games.

More scenic overlooks.

They brought us this awesome Boomerang and all week long Lydia insisted we go and play with it.

This field near Asan beach was a great place to try it out. Tyson and Jim got fairly good at throwing it and having it come back in the same general direction.

Lydia had a go at it.

We were sure sad when they left the following day. Grandma tucked Lydia in bed each night and the last night I had a talk with her and I had to once again teach her that "instead of being sad they are leaving we have to be happy that they came."  That is tough for a 6 year old to swallow. We had some tears but we are doing ok.

We dropped them off at the airport at 4:30 a.m. and came home missing their presence already. We are so grateful that they came and that we got to make memories with them and show them around the little bit of the island that we know so far. They were the best visitors we've ever had! ;)
