We were lucky to enjoy a bit of fall weather before moving. The leaves on the tree's were falling, the mountain side was turning its beautiful autumn colors and evening temps were a little crisp.
We all gathered together at my parents for dinner. Before we ate the kids had some time to play. I felt the need to capture this last night of play since it will be the last for a very long time.
Brooklyn watched as the kids wrestled on the tramp.
It was crazy hair day at Courtney's school.
Isn't Mom's backyard beautiful! Before I even moved I already missed the seasons knowing that I wouldn't have them anymore.
These boys crack me up! Man alive, I love them so much.
I will miss these kiddo's the most. They are a special bunch and they are all going to grow up and change so much while we are away.
Mom bought some Chinese floating lanterns.
These lanterns are magical. I just love them. We typically only set them off at the beach at Bear Lake.
One of them was having some issues getting off.
It finally got up, up, up....and then it started to come down. IN OUR NEIGHBORS TREE!
Some of us panicked, others ran to get the hose, a few laughed, someone yelled to call the fire department....and others stayed fairly calm. $10 goes to the person who can guess what I did? Yep, I grabbed my phone to document. Actually, I was going to be ready to call 9-1-1 but then I realized that Tyson was able to get the water from the hose to reach and put out the fire. Then I snapped a picture instead.
I think my family will save the rest of the lanterns for the beach. Lesson learned. :)
The next day we had a lot of packing to do!
I told Courtney we had enough room in a suitcase to take her with us. Here is the proof!
We also stopped by Heathers new home (that she wasn't in possession of at the time). Then we went to her salon for some last minute haircuts.
I wish I could have stuff Brooklyn in my carry on bag. Heck, my sisters too! They were so hard to say goodbye to.
Lydia's passport arrived just in time.
I had to compare her old one with her new one.
She was 14 months in this photo.
She was 14 months in this photo.
And in this photo she is six years old.
