Why I Love NSL

North Salt Lake has been a superb place to live for the past 18 months. The count down for our move is on but before we go I wanted to record all the things I have loved about this place we have called home.

Library- I have taken advantage of such a well stocked library. I get on the website plug in all the books I want to read and they email me when they are ready to be picked up. I have found lots of new favorite book while living here.

Dicks Market- We love stopping in to see Julie. It is always great to catch up with her. She calls me every time Tillamook ice cream goes on sale. We love that stuff. Chocolate Peanut butter is the best. We also love Dicks Scone dough. I keep some in the freezer at all times and its a hit.

The Rec Center- When Lydia took dance we would drop her off and head over for our weekly racket ball date. It has been a great place to workout & Lydia has taken swim lessons twice.

My proximity to Stephanie- my dearest friend has only been a hop, skip and a jump away. I've loved seeing her more than I have in a long time. We had fun at our 9:00 p.m. Zumba class, dinner dates, lunches, shopping trips, late night visits....etc.

Airport- living close to this place is super convenient. I've driven lots of people to and from and its great.

Close to SLC- living next to Salt Lake is amazing. We have taken full advantage of SLC. We've visited lots of museums, the Zoo, been to some yummy restaurants, concerts, the new shopping centers, up in the mountains, it was where Tyson attended University, a few sessions of conference were on the top of our list.

Everyone always stops by- it is a central location and we've had lots of visitors, some for a weeks and others just for a quick stop. Either way I do love pop ins. It is always great to catch up with family.

All the parks- we have explored and found lots of great parks to use. The one of top of the Mountain in Eagle wood will forever be my favorite.

Vinnie- was such a blessing while living here. She included me in her circle of friends before I had made my own in my ward. We loved watching BYU games, dinners and play dates with her sweet family.

The Temple- almost everywhere I go in Bountiful, Woods cross or North Salt Lake we have a view of the beautiful Bountiful temple. We are only 10 minutes to the Bountiful and 10 minutes to the SLC temple. Now that is being spoiled, right? We've been able to attend lots of weddings and do sessions at each.

Garage Sale shopping- Garage sale shopping in this neck of the woods hasn't been disappointing. I've been able to find Lydia lots of clothes and shoes for great deals.

Friendliest ward/neighbors- without a doubt this corner of the world has some amazing people and we've loved rubbing shoulders with them. It will be hard to say goodbye.

Young Women- I've enjoyed spending so much of my time with the girls of this area. I already miss seeing their faces each Wednesday and Sunday,

Lots of little girls- Just on our street Lydia has had 3 fabulous little friends to play with. Holly, Lexi and Yey are the sweetest playmates. Our neighborhood is overflowing with little girls and it has been luxurious.

Walk to Lydia's school- the Elementary is only a 10 minute walk. For the first 5 weeks of school we did lots of walking home from school with our friends. It was fun to visit and to hear about our girls days.

Beautiful Yard- I have enjoyed having an area for Lydia to play outside and a husband who takes care of it.

Washer and dryer- I went 3 years in Oklahoma living without these luxuries in our apartment. I have loved having a washing machine and dryer. They are wonderful inventions  and a good excuse to watch T.V. while I fold away.

Paces- Tyson made it a goal to eat at Paces every week for the past 10 or so weeks. I don't always join him but when I do its so good! Country Boy with cheese and a Peach rainbow. Mmm!

Great Doctors- we've had a great family doctor for me and a pediatrician for Lydia while living here. We never got sick but they took good care of all of our immunizations.

Dentist- our Dentist came highly recommended. Tyson and I both needed work done and Dr. MacKay was fabulous.

Best DI ever- I will miss the DI. We frequented this place often and found lots of treasures.

Centerville- has been a great place to shop. They have all the good stores we won't have in Guam.

Dance Class- Lydia took a creative arts dance class that I adored. I would have kept her in dance for years at Creative Arts Academy. It was professional and her teacher was fabulous.

The underpass- Lydia will miss the underpass. When Tyson came home from his 5 weeks being away the first thing she wanted to do with him was take a scooter/bike ride under the tunnel. It is their thing.

Freeway- being so close to the freeway is a treat. We can get places quick, Cherry Hill, Lagoon, Farmington Station, Ogden....etc.

I could go on and on. North Salt Lake has treated us well and it will be missed.

A.A. Milne said it best: "How lucky I am to have something (someplace/so many people) that makes saying goodbye so hard."
