Afternoon at Temple Square

My sweet Oklahoman friend Sharon and her two kiddo's came to Utah for a visit. We got to host them for two nights and it was such a treat. We spent some time eating custard on top of our NSL mountains while the kids played and the following day she requested a trip to Temple Square. I took loads of pictures. What's new right? This place is so beautiful, I can't get enough of the art, the views, the architecture and the immaculate grounds.

This ceiling in the conference center will forever remind me of a Kaleidoscope. If you spin and look up at the same time it moves. Ok..no it doesn't. Don't try it. You might slip and fall into the fountain like I did. Ok....no I didn't. I'm kidding again. ;) But man isn't it beautiful!!!

I quizzed Lydia on her apostle recognition. She did pretty well.

These are new. The first presidency requested some pictures of the women leadership be put on display.

Elder Haight, President Faust, Elder Maxwell and Elder Worthlin were all apostles during my teenage & young adult years and lots of their words and my favorite talks of the past came into my memory. I think I will go re-read some of them soon. Love these fine leaders.

We packed a little lunch and enjoyed the view of the temple behind us as we ate.

I love these pictures of unfinished Salt Lake Temple. They amaze me!

This is my all time favorite statue and has always been. A mother playing with her children. Lovely!

Isn't this two year old Emily a sweet heart?
I think I might keep her in Utah with me. I don't think her Mom will mind. ;)
