Tyson and I both got to attend girls camp this year. It was at Reid Ranch about 2 hours away. It wasn't exactly camping....it was more of a girls vacation, complete with an Italian cook and a slew of handsome guys running the place. (Our girls went crazy over them.) But I thought my cowboy was the cutest guy on the ranch.
The girls each got to go horse back riding. They always came back with fun stories.
They worked on camp certification.
It was some of the girls very first times riding a horse so I did my best to try and get a shot of each of them.
Middle: Kaymee, Alissa, Lillie, Sam, Hannah, Melissa, Paityn, Romina, Jennica
Front: Cherry, Caitlyn, Isabella, Amanda, Berenice & Lizzie
They went swimming in our very own pool.
We slept on bunks. I am horrible at sleeping in a room full of people....I don't get much sleep at all, but I am always blessed with lots of energy to keep up with these girls during the days at camp. This cabin was a fun place to hangout during all of the rainstorms we got. We painted nails, played cards, braided hair and even played a little game of Truth or Dare.
We did some archery, played soccer, volleyball and mini golf.
More than one girl wrote notes to all the cute boys on the ranch. They cracked me up! I love these girls!
We spent some time out on the water.
The boys came to build our fire before skits & testimony meeting. Our theme for the camp was Build Your Own Testimony. We did quiet activities revolving around our theme.
The camp guys had a heck of a time getting our fire started. Tyson related their experience to building our testimony's. He's amazing. I was so impressed and touched by his words. I won't forget them.
Silly skits!
We were in a beautiful part of the world.
Stefano's and his kitchen crew kept our tummy's full.
Our group picture that made the wall in the lunch room.
I had the YCL's help me figure our which girls should get which award. (more on trophy's back here.)
One morning when we had some free time Tyson and I headed down to the lake to do some fishing.
Holly, our president went a little stuffed animal happy this year. She bought most of them and I washed and cleaned them and helped assign them to each girl. They were once again a HUGE hit.
Here we are before we jumped in our vehicles to head home. It truly was a dream camp. All the girls got along, nobody got sick, or injured, everyone had loads of fun and I know that my testimony was strengthened for sure.
I loved being at camp with my husband. Each night him and I would go for a little walk and then he would drop me off at the cabin. It was the doorstep scene all over again. Ha ha. I've told the girls in past young women lessons that I hope someday each of them marry a Tyson. Now they know what I am talking about. He is such a wonderful person and priesthood leader. He made our camp fun and spiritual and I fell in love with him even more then before.
These girls are so special to me. I hate to leave Lydia. I don't leave her often but for these girls I do because I love them all like little sisters I never had. They are each so unique and precious and I hope they all continue to grow and keep making awesome choices that will shape the remainder of their lives. I love them each so much and I can't even imagine how much their Heavenly Fathers loves them too.
