Ragnar

Tyson was invited to run on Sarah's all girl Ragnar Team. One of the runners backed out late into the game and Sarah knew that Tyson was a strong runner and a fun guy to hang out with so he made the cut.

I ought to have him blog about all the details. I only heard stories as I wasn't there to cheer him on.  He did however take some great photo's. The scenery on the course looked amazing.

The entire course was from Logan to Park City. They had two vans with 6 runners in each.
The morning of the race it was pouring rain but the weather luckily made a turn for the better throughout the remainder of the race. Tyson had three legs to run. One of them began during the middle of the night and went for 11.6 miles up a steep mountain trail road.

His training included running from our home up to the Eaglewood Golf course during the hottest part of the day and it really helped him prepare.

The runners switched off their runs with a slap bracelet at the exchange spots.

They had a quick rest stop at Moms house while the other van was running. They ate spaghetti and all took quick showers.

Sunrise.
Tyson did not sleep in the middle of all the girls. He slept on a an old tarp....but they snapped this just for fun. They got about 2 hours of sleep from 4 a.m. to 6 a.m.
They played music from their phones through the mega phone for all to hear and had dance parties along the course.

The final Ragnar hill was a beast and most people had to walk it.

Word on the street is that Tyson killed Ragnar hill. He ran hard and finished strong.
Here he is dumping water on his head to cool off.
Scott joked that is this Tyson & Sarah's wedding announcement photo. Ha ha.

At the finish line. Van #2.
The entire team. Everyone did so great!
My Superman among all those ladies.
Simone, Sarah W, Mikael, Sarah C, Brandy and beefy legs Tyson.

Tyson said it was definitely a different kind of challenge, harder than a marathon because you are running on little or no sleep but a different kind of enjoyment because you get to run with the support of a team. It sounded like a blast and I'm so glad he got to have this opportunity.
