Swimming & Splashing

Last week our daily schedule looked a bit like this:

Monday: Swim lesson + Cherry Hill w/ cousins
Tuesday: Swim lesson + Blow up pool with neighbor friends
Wednesday: Swim lesson + nap before rehearsal
Thursday: Swim lesson + South Ogden Splash pad (w/cousins)
Friday: Swim lesson + Foxboro Splash Pad (w/ Owen)

Lydia is in a class with the 3 other little boys. She jumps right in and enjoys every minute.  She is learning how to swim on her back this year and I think she's doing great.

New passes! Woo hoo!

Before Maverick woke up Jake and I read books on the lawn under a beach umbrella while the girls played at the Splash pad. It was a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. He's a pretty cool kid I love hanging out with him.

The girls took Maverick under the water bucket. This was his initiation to the splash pad this year.

Watching Courtney tote him around always makes me laugh.

Lydia cracks me up too.
This rope pony tail is my new go to hairstyle for water activities. Simple and secure.

We invited some of her cute little friends over for a backyard pool party.

They played in and out of the pool, caught bugs, pretended to be mermaids and ate Otter pops.

I got some more reading in at the splash pad down near our home. Lydia and Owen spent hours at the park and in the water.

But they spent a majority of their time playing clear out in this field. Lydia loves wide open spaces and Owen follows Lydia wherever she goes.
I found the perfect little tree that gave enough shade for my one camping chair. The kiddo's finally came and joined me for a picnic and then went back out to play.

Owen had fun splashing this sweet little munchkin.
Having a plastic cup at the splash pad makes it 10x more exciting. I keep them in my pool bag.

In one week I think we just about went through an entire tube of sunscreen & I read 2 1/2 books. Summer is being good to us!
