First night on the big stage.

On our way home from Monday nights practice I asked Lydia if she liked rehearsing on the big stage, she said, "No Mom, I loved it!"
It is a great space. Rehearsal watching just got a lot more entertaining.
Before they started the director told all the cast members to explore and feel out the new space. That was very fun and important for Lydia.
Act 1. Song: Do Re Me

Lydia has a cute little part at the end of this song. I won't spoil it. You will have to come and see it.
The stage has a walkway around the pit so the actors can come and you will so close to all the action. Leisl & Rolf.

Act 1: The Lonely Goatherd.
Act 1: The Sound of Music.
Act 1: The Party scene.

Brigitta and Maria have an amazing exchange of words here. It gives me chills. Ooooh. So good!
Good bye...goodbye!
During the first night on the big stage they ran the 1st act and then Richie their director fixed some blocking errors to make it better.

Lydia took direction really well.
The set is obviously not finished, the costumes are in the works, the orchestra is practicing hard....but it is all going to come to together. I know this because everyone is so hard working and talented. I have enjoyed every minute of watching this whole process.

You can order your tickets on line now. Hooray!
Sorry to those of you who had to call and do it the old school way. ;)
The link is here.
The show opens one week from today. I can't hardly believe it!
