Little Elva

My cousin Katherine's little girl has been in the ICU at the Children's hospital in Calgary for over 14 days now. Little Elva took a turn for the worst and my family thought the unimaginable could happen.  It had been days and she wasn't showing any sign of improvement. I've been hearing updates on the phone from her Mom and twin Sister and daily updates from Katherine via Facebook. It truly sounds like everyone involved has been living in a nightmare. My heart aches for Katherine and Chris. I have shed plenty of tears and felt helpless living so far away.

Along with hundreds of other friends and family I have spent much time on my knees pleading with Heavenly Father to save this little girl, we've had a family fast and I made sure her name was on the prayer roll at the temple.

You can read more details in Katherine's words over here and here.

This is my picture I took of Elva when I got to meet her for the first time last summer on our trip to Canada. She is as sweet as can be. I sure love her. She has a long road or recovery but she is a fighter, she's strong and she can get better! We plan to go to Canada this summer and I can't wait to give this little lamb a hug!

Get between soon Elva. We love you! xoxoxo
