I love my new camera. Tyson bought it for me for my birthday over 7 months ago.
But I mostly love these cute subjects that I get to shoot.
I learn more and more about my camera and photography each time I use it.
I still have so much to learn about everything.
Recently Heather and Sarah asked me to take a few pictures of their little ones.
In the past I have offered my services outside of family. I have shot family photo's, newborns, engagements and missionary photo's. I had a lot of fun doing all of these but I decided I wanted to keep my photography as more of a hobby that I loved and could enjoy without heading down the business route. It was a good choice for me.
Recently, I was approached to shoot my first wedding. A full on wedding party....outside the temple and at the reception the following day and the thought of it scares me and excites me all at the same time. I haven't made my final decision. I will keep you posted.
Anyways.....that was my lead it to this cute guy and his 19 month photo's. Maverick.
I love being his Aunt. I loved trying to catch his sweet personality through my lens.
He is a little clown, he loves to make people laugh, exploring the world, you never quite know what he is thinking but he tries to share his thoughts with little intense and drawn out grunts. Did I mention I love being his Aunt?
My assistant, Courtney wanted in on the photo's.
This was happening while I was trying to take a head shot of Lydia for her first audition. More on that later.
Next up is my niece Brooklyn. (almost 4 months)
Heather wanted a picture of her in this outfit.
Is this the pinkest baby you ever did see?
I love this girl.
She is full of smiles and literally gives them away like nobody's business. Except when I have my big scary camera in her space. She was not too sure about me.
We love our weekly visit to Brooklyn house.
Taking pictures of things, people and places that I love brings me a lot of joy.
I don't know quite how to describe it but its true. It does something to me when I know I have the power to capture a moment and freeze it for all time.
PS. If you are wondering what happened to Cru and who on earth Maverick is....you'll have to call his Mom to get the inside scoop on that. :)
