The next stop on our trip itinerary was the the Grand Canyon.
It was a 4 hour drive from Phoenix.
Ali warned Lydia that it might take her breath away.
It did just that.
It was overwhelmingly beautiful.
I wasn't prepared for how grand it truly was.
Tyson about gave me a heart attack when we climbed down to this ledge.
Lydia used some of her own money to buy a Dream Catcher from the gift shop.
We tried re-inacting a photo that Tyson's parents took when he was a child at the Grand Canyon many moons ago.
Tyson climbed up onto a boulder to get a good view out on this ledge.
Lydia was sure patient with her Mom and Dad who both couldn't get enough of these views. After I took this photo I told her that she is my favorite view of all.
On our way out of the park we stopped to get a classic picture with the sign.
We drove through the park one last time on our way to Page, Arizona where we spent the night. We got to see the sun go down on this beautiful place.
I checked the numbers on my camera to see how many shots we took.
233 was our grand total.
The truth is that not even the best photographers in the all the land could give this wonder of the world justice it deserves. I tried my best but more then ever I tried to capture it with my memory.
Bucket List item checked off.
Back here.

What beautiful pictures of all the parks you visited. When we lived in AZ we went to the Grand Canyon and it was breathtaking. One of my girls was too nervous to look over the edge so she enjoyed the view from the minivan only. It was pretty silly.
