After leaving Zions we headed to St. George. Even though it was Spring break for some and lots of baseball tournaments going on we lucked out and found a hotel to stay in.
We dropped our things off and then headed out on the town in search of some dinner.
We ended up with some Pizza and the thought of taking it back to our hotel room didn't sound very amusing so instead Tyson drove us to the St.George Temple and we ate it on the temple grounds.
For some reason it was one of my favorite parts of the trip. Even though it was simple that goes to show that deep down I really do enjoy the small things in life. My heart swelled with gratitude as I enjoyed dinner with my forever family in such a beautiful setting.
Their silhouettes were beautiful cast against the temple light.
This is Lydia's favorite spot to go and 'touch' the temple.
Then after I realized how precious she appeared in the light of the temple I asked her for a few more poses.
And oh boy did she ever deliver!
The Cole's were in St. George for the weekend as well and we joined them for a swim in their pool.
Courtney's belly flop.
Cru loved the water.
Tyson got in a workout as pulled the kids across the pool.
We stayed at Grandma Margaret's home one more night in St.George after much begging and convincing on Courtney's part. Margaret is a very talented painter, her home and Sarah's home is covered with her paintings and this is one she did of the landscape in St.George. I had never seen it and I love it!
The girls had so much fun in the back yard, taking walks and playing at the park.
We spent an afternoon watching Jake play some baseball on his new comp team.
It was their first game of the season, they are a new team and they haven't been able to practice much outdoors. They played a seasoned St.George team who can practice year round....so you can guess the outcome of the game.
I think Jake still had a lot of fun. He played 3 more games throughout the remainder of the weekend.
I love this shot of him ready to attack that ball.
One more collage of her temple photo's.
If you endured to the end of all of these vacation posts I commend you. I know they were long.
We are back in the swing of normal every day life again.
Tyson is back to the grind of school, I'm back in the kitchen cooking, I planted a portion of the garden and have been sewing up a storm for an upcoming fundraiser project for church. Lydia's life is still pretty much a on going party and she wouldn't want it to be any different.
