Lydia colored 15 ties. Ok, I colored a few, it was hard work....15 neck ties is a lot work for a 4 year who is not head over heels in love with coloring.
Then I pasted them on a bag, along with the pictures of the 12 apostles and members of the first presidency.
Then we hit the stores to find some trinkets to put in these bags. We went to the Dollar section at Target, the Dollar tree and the grocery store for some snacks.

This is what we bought:
Juice
Microwave Popcorn
Puzzle
Coloring book
Cool crayons
Grow a dog
Grow a towel
Duck Pen
Princess Notebook
Strawberry seed kit
Gold Fish Crackers
White Oreo Cookies
A small white plate & sharpies
Paint with water book
....and I forget the last thing.
Oh yes, I remember. It was chocolate milk, but her Dad drank it...so I better think of something else. Maybe an apple or string cheese.

Now the point of this is to help Lydia get more involved with General Conference, with this and our General Conference board back here I think we are set. I love General Conference and I want Lydia to love it too!
I don't care if she sits and listens to every single talk word for word....because I know she won't understand it all and I can teach her what they are saying later with the Ensign. My goal is create an environment where she can feel the spirit and be involved with the rest of us. She will get to open a bag that corresponds with each apostles talk.
It is working already, we started these on Thursday and she keeps asking when we get to watch General Conference!
