My little miss sunshine got dressed up in yellow this day…even her flip flops.
Chatting it up with cousin Courtney is always a fun thing to do. A favorite question they ask each other is, “What are you wearing?” It always makes me laugh.
Courtney told Lydia she was coloring one night and told Lydia to get her coloring stuff out too. They colored together, over the the phone….and had a marvelous time doing it. So funny!
We tried out a new recipe called Energy Balls. They didn’t last long. Everyone loved them.
Primary wears out my Lydia. She loves every bit of it, but sometimes comes home all tuckered out.
Rainy day outside our window.

My crock-pot (of 7 years) bit the dust. Broke in half, it was a freak accident…I didn’t drop it or anything, it just broke when I lifted it up. Tyson quickly realized his meals wouldn’t taste as good and he bought me a new one a week later. Scored a good deal too…only 9 dollars!
We fed the birds for about a week until someone stole our bird feeder. Sad day!
I went through and then threw out a years + worth of my menu plans. Then I went paperless for about a month, thought I’d try and save some tree’s and ink and now I’m back to my trusty sheet. I can’t figure out what works best for me. Ahhh! I need help.
Lydia’s into wearing Tyson’s t-shirts to bed. He has quite the collection and I think it’s pretty darn cute.
We sent Nathan a message photo on his special day.
Caden and Lydia are two peas in a pod. Ever since Caden learned how to talk in January an even sweeter friendship has blossomed.
We painted our sidewalk again. A fun change from sidewalk chalk. I used: Cornstarch, water & food coloring.
We had a mall play date with Conni and it just so happened to be on the same day as a Chick-Filet party. I spun the wheel and won a FREE dessert, every month for an entire year. Score!
I caught Lydia doing this on a Sunday morning..I don’t know if this is primary. I didn’t ask, I took the picture without disturbing any of her fun.
I needed my hair trimmed. I figured if I messed up my hair was long enough I could always go get it fixed by a professional. It turned out ok, I think I got lucky….I’m not suggesting anyone do this. It was a late night decision……and I probably won’t ever do it again.
My sweet friend Conni saw these shoes at a Thrift store and thought of Lydia. I told her my Dad served his mission in Holland and we used to play with his dutch wooden shoes all the time. It was such a sweet gesture, thanks Conni!
I had a surprisingly good hair day. I had to document it because they don’t make an appearance too often. (This was before the trim.)
Lydia drew a rainbow, herself, a football and she calls any scribbles a snowstorm.
I recently put this together. I bought the vase at a garage sale (.50 cents) and used green little beans to organize my brushes. It works great and looks good on my bathroom counter.
Lydia drew a self portrait on the Post it note app.
Made this dessert for mutual one evening. Mmmm!
Caden & Lydia collected some rocks and then I cut some images from the Friend Magazine and we glued them on. The kids have fun playing with them. It was simple, fun and FREE.
Another Paper Bag Princess pose for you. Story back here.
Coffee Filter art brightened up our home for a good month. We used coffee filters & water color paint. We experimented lots of different ways to do it and they all turned out unique & beautiful.
Don’t I have the sweetest shopping buddy ever? When we need just one or 2 things from the store we go to Homeland and they have these itty bitty carts. It’s always a good day for Lydia when we run out of milk, bread or eggs. I’ll give you one guess as to how that cereal ended up in the cart.
We bounced some balls in a box. My preschool class used to love this activity and so does Lydia.
I made some pretty awesome homemade play dough. I followed this recipe here. We keep it the fridge and its always there if I need a quick activity for the kids.
And a little bit of silliness, because that’s what we do best around here!
Have a great day!

wooooooooooooooooooow! you do so many fun things with your little girl! I see things on pinterest and never do them. You are inspiring me to try some of the things I have pinned. I always forget to view your blog because it is private and I don't know when you have updated it. But when I do check I am never disappointed. I'm writing pringles on my shopping list right now so we can make duck faces!
You really need to do a preschool when you get back here, or at least a playgroup date. :) You do so many cute and fun things! Ty would love it all!
