Messy Hearts & President Eyring

I made some SKINNY messy Hearts during nap time. Aren't they sweet?!?
I love them. They make my home happy!

I used floral wire ($1)
 some yarn,
fishing line (from Tyson's tackle box),
& thumb tacks to hang them from the ceiling.

I came across this quottoday & it reminded me of a story:

“I am satisfied that happiness in marriage is not so much a matter of romance as it is an anxious concern for the comfort and well-being of one’s companion. Any man who will make his wife’s comfort his first concern will stay in love with her throughout their lives and through the eternity yet to come”-Gordon B. Hinckley

Tyson and I were newly married, he was working at Sizzler in Bountiful, Utah and President Eyring walked in. (about 7 years ago). He got to serve President Eyring and his sweet wife dinner that evening. They got into conversation about Tyson being a return missionary & he told him that he was newly married. Then, at home, in Clearfield I got a text telling me who he was serving. I told him to ask him for some marriage advice. So he did! He told Tyson that he wanted to share the words of our prophet, President Hinckley on the subject and said, "to always make your spouses comfort your first concern. "

I love this counsel!!!

That night after he came home, I also wanted to know what they ate and all the little details. I'm a girl, I can't help it. They ordered the salad bar with baked potatoes. Sis. Eyring wanted a glass of milk & when it was time for them to go he went and pulled the car up to the front of the parking lot and went inside to escort his sweet wife to the car. He most definitely practices what he preaches.

This was the first of many encounters he had with President Eyring. Over the years he was even requested by him because he gave him great service and would get him a secluded table in the corner where he wouldn't be too bothered.
