I heart Food ideas- requested by my Mom

What are you cooking on Valentines day? Or do you go out for dinner instead? Tyson's birthday is 2 days after Valentines so we stay home & I do the cooking. I usually do a yummy all out breakfast for dinner. This tradition has transferred from my childhood and now to Lydia's. It is one of my favorites!

I haven't decided exactly what to make yet. I'll most likely end up preparing stuffed french toast....but I decided to look for some new ideas and boy is it ever easy to find a million of them out in blog land. Here they are:

Tyson would NOT love that big tomato, perhaps pepperoni's instead.
But the little pizza's are a cute idea for lunch.

My sister-in- laws make this all the time, with coordinating holiday colors.
I need to be brave and try it.
Valentine's 5-Layer Finger Jello, Strawberry, Cherry and Raspberry Jell-O with Sweetened Condensed Milk

I have a heart shaped pan. But goodness, I could have saved a few dollars. This is genius.
It's looking like a heart already.Pinned Image

I liked the rimmed glass idea, I'd use pink for sure....that would be sweet touch to Valentines dinner.
I'm in love with Sonic's cherry limeades too, so happy to have found the recipe, we'll see if it compares. Mmm!

Every year I make Tyson a giant heart Rice Krispie treat and he devours the whole thing himself.
I thought this was so clever!

Rice Krispie dipped in PINK chocolate.

He really loves anything Rice Krispies.
My husband is easy to please when it comes to treats.
Heart-shapes Rice crispy pops - This would be cute with red and white chocolate stripes across.

Oh and isn't this the most beautiful cake?
I'll keep this stored away for the future.

We have always gone out to eat in years past. Since we have Owen now, I don't want to bother trying to find a babysitter and there's no way we would subject other restaurant patrons to Owen's dinner-time antics.
This year I'm doing a fun little dinner. Red food (spaghetti, strawberries, apples), I'm going to hang paper hearts from the light, I have a red drink and we'll have pink cupcakes for dessert.
Wish me luck!
