Christmas Lights

We are surely but slowly coming up with and sticking to some Oklahoma Christmas traditions. We have 2 favorite places we like to go and see lights. Chickasha lights festival and the Downs Family lights show.

The bridge really is the best part.

It was a warm 70 degrees this day, we didn't need to bundle up one bit, it was amazing.

We joined the Stake Youth activity on this night and drove some teenage boys to the lights with us as well. They kept Lydia well entertained in the back seat. I almost wish we could bring them with us on our long drive to Utah. (Only partially kidding.) I am very excited to take Lydia to see Temple Square she will love it!

Quick story: We live on the same street at Barry Switzers house. His was the first home we drove by in early December that was beautifully lit up on his home and trees. We pointed it out to Lydia and on our way home we drove by it a little slower. She hollered from the back seat, "STOP DA CAR!" Then she paused for a few seconds then and said in all seriousness, "Get out!!!" We burst out laughing. Maybe it was a had to be there moment, those are the best kind. We weren't about to get our and wander around on his lawn, so we just drove home laughing.

Fun, we still need to do the Chickasha lights. I didn't know you lived by Barry Switzer's house. Now I want to drive by and see it with all of the lights.
