Lydia is great at remembering stories, one day I was in the kitchen preparing dinner and she came into to show me THIS. I adore how she takes books and applies them to her play.
She may have some fear, but not when it comes to the pool. This summer she has beenjumping into the pool with out being caught like it is nobodies business, going all the way under too.
When we go to the church for Zumba she tries her best to do all the dance moves with me. Other kids are off to play or watching the T.V. and lucky me gets to have a little side kick for most of the hour.
She has figured out the art of bedtime stalling, asking for more books, more songs, another trip to the potty, water, more water, another kiss run out to her Dad and anything random she can think of....and I am a sucker for it.
She tells her Daddy, "Daddy you so handsome!!!" at least 10 times a day, every day without fail. He is one LOVED guy! This has been going on for over a month, we think it is her way of telling him she loves him. She also spits it out right before she knows she is going to get in trouble. :) ha ha. She also tells me that I am beautiful and she is a big girl. But only once a day.
She has the most amazing stash under her pillow. Any object that is special to her finds it way under there. After we read books before bed and nap time she puts them under there so she can read them again when she wakes up.
For a few weeks when she'd wake up in the morning she'd stay in her bed let out the loudest wail, "MMMMMMMMOM!" It made me smile hearing that cute voice. Drove her Dad nuts because it woke up him too.
Lydia has recently become interested in choosing what she wants to wear. Not everyday, but on occasion. The first time her outfit ended up like this, backpack and all. Seems fine right...except for it was 100 degree's out, she was so proud of it so I didn't dare change it.
When she plays princess Barbies she often forgets to make the Barbies to talk to each other and she talks to them instead. It is sooo sweet and they have the loveliest of conversations.
She loves to help me with housework. Sweeping, dusting, vacuuming...I hope this never changes, but I wont count on it. :)
As much as she is growing and learning she is still my baby and she still needs her naps! She loves her naps and bedtime and when they get interrupted by Doctor appointments she falls asleep anyways. Awwww!
She is very aware and always wants to know what is going on in our family. What we are going to do the next day, who is coming over to play (always someone at our house), what Tyson and I are talking about.
Oh and last one. Scenario goes as follows. I was in the kitchen making dinner, Tyson was sitting on the couch with the laptop working on something.
Lydia: Dad you can pway ball with me?
Dad: I'm working Lydia, I can in a little bit.
Lydia: Dad, you can pway with me?
Dad: Lydia, go and ask your Mom ok.
Lydia: Mom, can Daddy pway ball with me?
True story.
