Oklahoma does a Mormon Prom every year. I believe I heard that 7 stakes were invited and some came from a few hours away. It started at 6 and they danced the night away until 9 p.m. so everyone could get home before midnight.
It was held at the Oklahoma State Capital and Tyson and I attended as chaperons. We love dances and kind of wished we had all of our high school friends there to dance with us. Not kidding. Being at those things bring back so many fun memories from my teenage years.
The dance did lack a bit of atmosphere, the room had so many bright lights and I think that prevented many from dancing. But overall it was a lot of fun. Great music, LOTS of people and it looked like all of Tyson's seminary students were having so much fun mingling and meeting new people.
I make Tyson a big Valentine Krispie every year. It is pretty much all he requests and he pounds the entire thing. I don't know why I associate Valentine's day with breakfast foods but I do. So that is what we did for our dinner. Mmm! Hope you all had a great Valentine's day too!
