Saying goodbye to Granddad. She loves him sooo much!
A stop at Nana's Library on our way out of town.
Tyson's Dad Jim & his Aunt Toni went to Tridell to stay with their parents for a few days to assess how they are doing. Grandpa and Grandma Goodrich are both not doing so well. We got to their house the night Jim & Toni returned so we heard all the details. It was heart breaking to listen to and I could tell they were both emotionally drained from going there and having a hard time leaving.
Anyways, on that note, I absolutely loved getting to know Toni, she lived in Edmonton (Sherwood Park) for 30 years....that is in Canada. We had had lots to talk about, but I mostly liked to listen. She is a fabulous lady. I am glad I got to finally meet her.
When she talks it is like a extra bubbly version of Jim. They sound a lot a like and have similar mannerisms.
We all went to In N Out Burger and then stayed up late talking. The next day us girls went shopping. It was a fun way to spend my last day in Utah.
Tyson had an even MORE exciting day than shopping! I wish I could get him to post about it. We'll see. Doubt it, but we'll see.
We ended up staying one extra day and I was so glad because I was not able to see everyone I had hoped. My friend Megan has a little boy named Ty, he is one month younger than Lydia and they have 'known' each other since they were born. We got to have a good visit and let them play together. This picture reminds me of a happy girl on a really good first date. :)
On our way home we took our time and stayed at a hotel in Albuquerque, New Mexico. We relaxed that night and the next morning we all went swimming. I left early, went to shower, packed out things, straightened up the room, checked my e-mail, watched some news on T.V. and Tyson and Lydia still were not back from swimming. I went back down to find them still having a lot of fun. :) I was glad and it wore her out for the rest of days drive home.
We had such a fabulous trip! We love coming to visit and it always goes by WAY to fast for all of us, especially this trip. Thanks to Mom & Dad for helping fix our car so we could make the trip. S&S for looking after us always and to the Geopferts for subbing in our church callings. Especially Barry, he offered 2 more days of teaching Tyson's seminary class so we could stay longer. What good friends we have in Utah and Oklahoma. We know we are blessed in that department for sure!!!
It is good to be home and somewhat back into our routine. Tyson begins classes again next week. Lydia did SO well on the trip, sleeping at Grandparents homes but since our return she hasn't been a fan of her own bed, closing doors or of the dark. We are working on it with her and hope it is just a phase.
No more Utah picture posts for a while, I promise...at least not until summer! :)

Loved your Utah posts and loved visiting with you! Ty had a lot of fun playing with Lydia - we may just have to set them up together in 15+ years. ;)
I'm glad I scrolled down, I would have missed this one! So glad you were able to make it up here! Lydia is such a little doll!! So fun loving!
