I wanted to learn to crochet these hats, simply because I knew it would be less expensive than buying one to wear. It is a lot of fun and even a little bit addicting. I can bust one out in a little over 2 hours. Before we left for Utah and were watching so many Christmas movies in the evening I always had a hook in my hand.
I made a few other colors too turquoise and a pastel blue. I'd like to try more expensive yarn someday to get a different look. I have patterns for children's hats too. (These are for woman...I just needed a model and Lydia was it.) I will wait to experiment with those once our schedule goes back to normal and I have time for some more craft time on my hands.

They're not edited...if I had taken the time to do that I
would have edited that runny nose and messy cheek too. :)
