Book of Mormon Challenge

Our Stake President challenged everyone to read the Book of Mormon the 2nd week in June, he asked us to have it finished by the end of the summer/before school starts. I wasn't even supposed to be at the adult meeting, but due to random circumstances I was so glad that I was. When he issued the challenge it felt like President Keye's was speaking directly to me and I promised myself I would do it ....aaand I did.

It always feels good to accomplish a goal and reading the scriptures everyday without fail instantly made a huge impact in my life. What a blessing that book is. Tyson did it as well, only he finished weeks before me. (He had more spare time while I was away.)

I love the Book of Mormon. I know that Joseph Smith translated it by the power of God. I know that it is a sacred record and it applies to our lives today. I am grateful for all the new things I learned and I know that by reading it we can feel closer to our Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ.

Tyson recently got called to be the early morning Seminary teacher in our stake and they are studying the D&C this year, so I think I will read/study that along with his class for my next goal. He has 18 teenagers in his class and so far he is loving it. They are solid kids and they love the gospel.

Now....what is a post without pictures???

Sarah bought matching skirts for the girls. They looked adorable at church and I wouldn't let them take naps until I shot a few photo's. If you can't tell, Lydia ADORES her cousin Coco. The girls are best friends and play so well together. We sure miss her and can't wait to play with her again!
