Little Miss Manners

Photobucket
My Dad instilled in me the words- Thank you.
I have been trying to do the same with my daughter.
I try teaching her lots of things, some stick and others....well not so much.

For some miraculous reason, this one did and now I live with little Miss Manners!

She tells me Thank you for everything I do for her. After I give her food, put on her shoes, change her bum, buckle her car seat....and well I do pretty much everything for her, so I get thanked all day long.

I kid you not, when my friends are over and they give Lydia something, she will say "Tank you, tank you, tank you" over and over again...and I have to tell them that she'll keep saying it until they acknowledge her and respond with a 'you're welcome.' :)

I had a good laugh today when I handed Tyson a bowl of food and she had to remind him and said, " Daddy Tank you." Before he even had a chance to say the words. She watches everything we say and do now.

(PS. Can we get any girlier than this? Maybe if we washed off the Cong-foo
tattoo on her left arm. Ha ha.)

Walk with gratitude in your hearts, my dear friends. Be thankful for the wonderful blessings which are yours. Be grateful for the tremendous opportunities that you have. Be thankful to your parents, who care so very much about you and who have worked so very hard to provide for you. Let them know that you are grateful. Say thank you to your mother and your father. Say thank you to your friends. Say thank you to your teachers. Express appreciation to everyone who does you a favor or assists you in any way. Thank the Lord for His goodness to you.

Aw -she is so beautiful and she is little Miss Manners. I think it's so cute and it's a good reminder to me to be polite. (Hopefully she will rub off on Samuel some too...) :)
