I love to sing.I love to teach.
I love children. I love Primary.
I love children. I love Primary.
(It just may be the funnest calling in the church.)
Here is something I put together. (not created...my sister heard the general idea at a Stake primary meeting and I thought I'd try it out.) I invited a different child up to choose an object and each one represented a new way to sing the song we needed to review for the month.
Ex: Flash light: turn the lights out and sing.
Slinky: Loud or soft.
Tissue: plug your nose
Mittens: Clap the rhythm while singing
Microphones: you sing with 2 friends
Sun glasses: sing with your eyes closed.
Egg shakers: Sing staccato....you get the picture, only with 24 total.

I get to sing with Junior & Senior primary AND then I pop into Nursery with Lydia and sing for 15 or so minutes with the little lambs in there. I've only done it for 2 weeks and so far so good....a lot of work but A LOT OF FUN too!!!!
(For those of you with kids or who also serve in Primary I'd LOVE to hear about great idea's your Primary choristers are using in your ward.)

what a cute idea!
You are perfect for that calling!
You do an AMAZING job too! So glad you have that calling - it's perfect for you (sad you aren't Jeffrey's teacher tho...)
You are so perfect for that calling - I'm glad you are enjoying it. I think I would be terrified of that calling. I don't have any brilliant ideas, but anytime Samuel gets to dance along with singing he is as happy as a clam. :)
I've been the primary chorister in our ward for 4 months now & I use www.sugardoodle.net here and there for ideas. I love when people share their ideas!
