1.24.2010 {Goodbye Elder Chriss}

One reason that we enjoy living here in Norman is our opportunity we have had to get to know and work more with missionaries. It is actually pretty funny because we haven't gotten to know too many since our move. Elder Chriss got here in July,(before us) it is his first area and he is still here. I for sure thought he would have been transferred while we were away in Utah, but no...he didn't. Elder Chriss has had 4 different companions while serving in our ward. Ha ha. He's got a good heart that one and is a hard worker.

Tyson is a ward missionary and helps them whenever they need him. Tyson loved being a missionary in Rochester and being around the Elders makes him happy. They always know 'Brother Goodrich' is willing and ready to go and do anything they ask. My cooking must be getting better too because they keep coming back for more. It has been good for me to have them over for dinner on a regular basis, I have gotten lots of practice and it does something to my self-esteem when they eat everything and tell me how much they loved it. They bring such a nice spirit too so I love having them around.

They asked to look at Tyson's mission books after dinner. (Scrap booked by his girlfriend). Lydia climbed up on Elder Chriss' lap and was so proud and happy to be included.

2.3.2010 Elder Chriss finally got transferred today, we ran into the Spanish speaking Elders at the Grocery store and they believe he got sent to Duncan, wherever that it, who knows...but they are lucky to have him.
