Today I am thankful.
I am thankful for the army of people at school who want to give J everything he needs to have a successful experience.
I am thankful for my parents and in-laws for supporting me from far away.
I am thankful for all the doctors who have gone above and beyond to help me learn as much as possible about his little body.
I am thankful for the neighbor kids who come and ask J to play with them.
I am thankful that J has leaders at church and cub scouts who love and teach him.
I am thankful for Andy for playing football with J at the beach.
I am thankful for the other Foster Mom's on Guam who offer me support.
I am thankful to Hilary for sending J a package of clothes and toys for Christmas.
I am thankful for the Alton's for donating all those fun games to us. Wow!
I am thankful for Lisa for bringing over a huge stack of books for J to read.
I am thankful for Braeden's for inviting J to his bowling birthday party.
I am thankful for Coach Joe who swooped in and insisted J try catching a wave at surf lessons.
I am thankful for the wheelchair parking pass.
I am thankful for Elder Kneiting for teasing J like a little brother.
I am thankful to Jennifer for giving J his very own bed to use in our home.
I am thankful for all the local church kids/teens who make him feel special, offer to push his chair and help me lift him into the car.
I am thankful for my girlfriends who listen and keep me smiling everyday.
I am thankful for his new school teacher who I instantly loved at first sight.
I am thankful for my healthy body and the ability it allows me to care for my family.
I am thankful for Lydia for sharing her parents, her home, her time, her cat, her toys, her love.....her everything....her world.
I am thankful for my husband who supports his crazy wife and her wild ideas. I am thankful for his listening ears, his playful personality, his hard work, at work and home, for his priesthood that blesses our life and most of all for his muscles. J is 48 lbs and he does all of the lifting when he is home.
I am grateful for my Heavenly Father. I know he knows our situation. I know he knows J, a little island boy who lives in the middle of the pacific. His hand is in our lives. I feel it everyday.
