Have you ever lived a day that you wouldn't mind repeating over and over? This day was one of those...or at least the afternoon was. It was pretty wonderful and I loved every minute of it.
Our friends decided to go camping. You have to be brave to attempt this on Guam. We do love to camp but we couldn't join them for a various reasons so they invited us to come up and spend the day with them instead.
They had the most amazing camp site about 100 feet from the ocean. It was all shaded and Andy had set up a zip line for the kids, swings to play on and hammocks for some relaxation.
I loved these cliff views on both sides.
The kids collected over 200 hermit crabs earlier that day.
Hey handsome.
The Garcia's arrived about 30 minutes after we had.
Kate was too cute I couldn't stop shooting photo's of her.
Some of the crew went for a hike to some beautiful tide pools. I went for a swim in the ocean with some of the older girls. The northern side of the island has some big waves, swimming in them was intense and lots of fun.
Everyone was happy, content and free to do whatever they wanted and I think that is why I loved this day so much. We didn't have a schedule to keep, we didn't have anything planned we just enjoyed the moments.
I brought a picnic for my family. Eating outside after playing hard is always nice.
Laura, Tara, Lisa & April.
Tyson took this one....Johne's in the back ground cracks me up.
Kisses from Kate.
Johne had a go on the Zip line. His first attempt wasn't too successful but he got back on and with Tyson's help made it all the way. Lydia almost had a near run in with a tree but luckily she held on for dear life and avoided what could have been a bad accident.
Before we drove the length of almost the entire island home we ate some Smores. Mmmm!
On our way home we saw four deer in the jungle. We were surprised. We weren't even aware that deer lived on Guam.
We do love camping....but going home to our comfy beds was a nice ending a pretty perfect day.
