Every few years the youth group from Saipan come to Guam for a long weekend Youth Conference. We were asked to host two of the girls. Their names were Leb and Fiona.
They spent most of weekend at the Conference in classes, doing service, a talent show and during their break before the dance they requested to do some shopping. They don't have any malls on Saipan. They were kids in a candy shop.
The girls slept in Lydia's bedroom and she slept in ours.
We stayed up late getting to know them and learning all about the recent Typhoon recovery of Saipan. They went about 6 weeks without power and running water. They still don't have electricity at school. They said it is crazy hot and gross.
After they joined us for Church Fiona went to spend some time with her family and Leb asked to go for a drive to see some of our beaches.
These fish looked like little baby sharks.
Five of my friends and I sang a musical number at the their Sunday night Fireside. We sang "Whom Shall I Serve."
These are the youth from our Ward. (14 and up)
We loved hosting and getting to know Fiona and Leb. They were perfect guests!
