Beach. bike, barbecue & bridge

Some of my favorite moments of the summer happened right here.
My friends know that I don't like to turn down invitations to the beach.

We invited three of the Shirai kiddo's one day and I thought Isabel made a lovely mermaid.

Shine & Last Shine.
I call Kate the Sand Princess when we go to the beach.
I should have brought these three some rice or fish. ;) They weren't thrilled with my PB & J's. Ha ha. They were polite and tried them none the less.
Some major digging took place.

Later on during the summer Lydia learned to ride a two wheeler.
Check out this boonie bike. It is so fitting for Guam. One black & one white tire. We got it for free and her Dad fixed it up for her.

She was pretty wobbly at first, but she caught on fairly quickly. Tyson and I took her out a few times before she took off and did it on her own.
Her steering needed some work for a while. She made us nervous....but now she's a little pro.

The Wardroom hosted a party at the beach. Tyson is on the committee to help. It was a super fun day...one of my favorites this summer.

Our friends let us take their Kayaks out on the ocean. Tyson and Lydia together and myself separately. We hit a few big waves and we all ended up in the water.

I painted a picture of the pool at Gab Gab for my friend Becky who has moved off island.
One evening after driving some girls home I stopped at this bridge in Agat to capture a gorgeous sunset.

It was perfection.

We are surrounded by this beauty all the time but we have to remember to pull over and soak it in from time to time.
