Hospital & Tyson's New Job

These pictures came in the mail. I love them. I want to order one for our home. He looks great in his Uniform. Tyson had adjusted so well to our new life here and he had definitely had tons to adjust to.

It took them a while to figure out where the wanted him at the hospital. He started in the IMD department. Helping with all the computer, IT, technology aspects that it takes to keep a hospital running. He felt like he was drowning. He knows very little about computers and he had to learn all the technology acronyms on top of ALL the military acronyms. He was there for a few weeks His boss, the department head of that department was emergency transferred back to the states so they made changes. It was a such a tender mercy.

Tyson was asked to be department head over a different department. Staff, Education and training. He would be over a staff of enlisted members of the Navy and one civilian.  It was a huge undertaking since he is new to Guam, this hospital and to the Navy. He didn't know how everything worked. Luckily managing people and motivating them work hard comes naturally to him. He gets to work closer with the higher up people of the hospital, he's had to do presentations for them and implement new training programs.

For a few weeks he told me he felt as if he was taking a drink from a fire hydrant. I liked that analogy. I understood better how he felt.

Someways he wished he wasn't given so much responsibility but others days he's grateful that he was trusted with this job that he truly enjoys.

He sent me this email one day. He gets emails like this all the time. Crazy.
