Thanksgiving on Guam

They day before the real Thanksgiving we attended a Kindergarten Feast at School. We brought our own lunch, Tyson and I and met Lydia for a feast. It was only her 3rd day at school.

After lunch all 5 Kindergarten classes put on a performance for us.
Lydia's class were the pilgrims, the others included Indians and Turkeys. They all looked darling!

I love this super cute kid! She spotted us in the sea of parents.

Her teacher is very musical. I think she and Lydia will get along great.
Tyson loved supporting his little one but man alive he did not appreciate how noisy this room was while we were eating. It was hard to hear yourself think. Lydia warned us that it is like this.

Before we took her home she showed us around her new classroom.
On Thanksgiving morning Lydia and I took some time to remember some things that we are grateful for. Isn't her penmanship just the sweetest?
Later on in the day we went to Old Wives Beach. Tyson came here last week with some guys from the ward. They snorkeled for 15 minutes out back that cliffs edge and then went around and inside a cave. In the cave is a rope swing. I am excited to check that out with him in the future. As for this day we just relaxed, snorkeled and enjoyed having an entire beach all to ourselves.
The beach is Lydia's playground. She found me this beach cute itty bitty star fish. I love it.
After we cleaned up from the beach we went to our Thanksgiving Feast. Tyson's Boss and wife invited us over to their home along with some other new guys and families. Everyone is employed at the Hospital. It was a delicious meal. Since we are still living in a hotel I wasn't able to contribute much, they put in over rolls and drinks. The family with four kids are going to be our new neighbors and I love getting to know them better as well.
Later that night Tyson flew Lydia off to bed. This is their thing lately and I think its so precious!

They day after Thanksgiving we went to Home Depot, every girls dream place for shopping right? Ha ha. We needed some things to organize our new home and they were on sale so we jumped. But not until after lunch.

Later that afternoon we went to the Collins and played some backyard games. Tyson won Bocci ball and we dominated some Can Jam. Our new friends the Collins and Sandels are competitive too. It was loads of fun.  While we played Lydia was at the park, in her swimsuit making waterslides with the hose. It looked like a blast.
We bought our Christmas Tree at the NEX that evening and then stopped at the food court for some dinner. Lydia spotted Santa, so she went over to say hello.

I talked to my nephew Jake on the phone on Dec 1st. He asked me if it feels like Christmas here. Weather wise? No it definitely doesn't. But at Family Home Evening we watched this video here and we are determined to make this a special Christmas. To make sure our Christmas season is filled with the spirit and centered around the Savior.
