The week leading up to the show as as exciting as ever.
This was Lydia's hairstyle.
Monday was the run through with mics on, Lydia very nervous for this but she did great.
It took a while for her to get used to it and it took me a while to get it taped on just right.
During the first dress rehearsal Lydia was coming down the stage in the first act and she tripped and fell down the stairs. She bonked her head pretty good. Maria (Wendy) went over and helped her. I was helpless as I sat in the back of the auditorium. She could have cried but she held it together and kept on going. On the way home in the car I had her call Tyson and tell him what happened, she said, "Dad, I stayed in character and everything."
We slept over at my parents one night during our busy week. I was able to work in the basement while Lydia slept in. Honey nut cheerio's and comics for breakfast were my favorite thing during High School & College. I still love em.
Tuesday night was a long and late night tech rehearsal.
They stopped and started all night long while the tech practiced all of their lighting, mic, curtain & sound cues. The orchestra took the night off and the cast rehearsed with the piano once more.
This ending scene gets me every time. The chorus is singing....the orchestra playing....oh boy was it ever special!
