Demo Derby

The 4th of July isn't complete until we get to the Demo Derby. We have been attending Ogden's Hot Rockin' Fourth for years now....the years we are living in Utah that is. It is one of Tyson's very favorite traditions. Once I hear those engines start to roar I remember why he loves it so much.

The cars were awesome this year and the crowd watching was amazing too!

That tire.

Before every heat we each pick which car we want to win and this year Mom even brought some money to aid in our betting. Ha ha. Jake went home with the most.

Lydia dressed the same for all outings....its always dresses and bows for this girl.
The folks behind us had some big umbrella's and they covered the entire Ellliott fam. It was one hot day!
Muah!

Grandad got sick so he let Jake use his ticket. He is most definitely my favorite 10 year old to hang out with. I love this kiddo!

One of the drivers during the truck heat caught on fire. Jeesh. That was scary. But he was ok.

Cameron (12), Maddie (11), Jake (10), Gracie (9), Lydia (5 & 3 quarters)

I love when the lights come on...it is so beautiful with the mountains to our left, the sun going down, the air gets cooler and the actions heats up with the championship heats.

We tortured Lydia once more with 2 night in a row of fireworks. Nana held her tight. (She never complains....but boy she is not a fan of those loud things.)

Happy Birthday, America!!!
