Lydia had a big rehearsal last Monday.
It included the VonTrapp Kids, Maria and the choreographer.
They learned the choreography for Do-Re-Mi, So Long Farewell & The Lonely Goatherd.
This is her element and I love watching her in this new world of hers.
Lydia learned so much, so quickly and didn't miss a beat. I sat there in aw watching her remember every little instruction given to her.
I am attempting to get Lydia on a consistent nap schedule on the days she has rehearsals. The rehearsals go two hours past her bedtime and we don't get home until after 10. All of the other children have been in school all day and have to wake up early the following day. Lydia has been sleeping in until almost 10 a.m. The other kids are the real champs!
I heard 'Maria' sing for the first time!!
She is FABULOUS! Her voice is spot on, not overwhelmingly power Broadway style but delightful, pleasant and perfection. She already has so much chemistry with these talented children and we are just getting started. Lydia adores her and lights up when she hears her sing. I can't wait for everyone to hear Maria!
