Sitting on Babies

Every night when Lydia crawls into bed after she says her prayers she inquires, "Mom, are we going anywhere tomorrow? Is anyone coming over?"

This question drives me bonkers sometimes....because she gets fairly disappointed when the response is no. I explain to her that we don't always have to go anywhere, sometimes its just nice to stay home. She doesn't agree.

However, our life is full of kids.
One day a week we tend Brooklyn while Heather does hair in her salon.
Another day the Stanger girls, Carly and Kenzie come to play while their Mom temporarily works.

And once a week we head to South Ogden and I tend my sisters kids along with our little buddy Owen.

You'd think three days a week would satisfy her social needs, but we still do more play dates with the little girls in our neighborhood.

Never dull, I tell ya.

PS. My new friend Yey, from Mexico (who is learning English) and I were discussing local baby-sitting options. She asked me about the term baby sitting.  "No we don't sit on the babies." I told her. English is sure a funny language if you ask me. I'm glad I never had to learn it as my second language.
