We are gearing up and getting ready to plant the garden.
Tyson has hoed it.
Lydia was 'helping' until she got distracted by
a worm,
a slug and
then the adjacent
sandbox.
I wanted to create some garden markers this year.
I decided on some wooden spoons.
They were trickier to find than I anticipated. Most stores only sell plastic these days.
They were at Neighborhood Wal-mart for $2.18 (for 3)
Lydia and Courtney painted them with acrylic paint.
Then I slapped on some old scrapbook stickers that I had on hand.
I finished them off with a heavy coat of mod podge.
I am hoping that will help withstand all the rain/water we have been getting.
The peas and spinach were the first in the ground and we are holding off on everything else.
I think they turned out pretty darn cute.
