On our way up to Bear Lake we stopped in Logan and picked up our niece Kaneesha at her Rock Climbing class. Then we treated her to lunch, had a fun visit, stopped by her apartment and then dropped her off at her ceramics class.
It turned out to be perfect timing and it was so good to catch up with her.
Bear Lake in the winter is pretty magical. It looked like this on the way up the canyon. We drove our truck just in case the weather turned bad but we ended up having 5 beautiful days to enjoy at the condo.
Lydia and Elsa enjoyed the ride from the back eat.
The open beautiful grass field was covered in snow and geese.
Lydia and I filmed some short video's of her singing songs from Disney's Frozen while we waited for cousins to arrive. Back here.
Cru in his jammies reading his books.
When we woke up Jake and Tyson did some fitness challenges. Wall sits & planks.
I enjoyed using my new camera at Bear Lake.
On the way to the hot tub.
My sexy man. Ha ha.
It was SO hot. I barely lasted 10 minutes in this thing.
A beautiful shot of the lake. It was not frozen over like last year. No cross country skiing for us this year.
We made off our truck this month. WOO HOO! I had to snap a picture of it to document such a great occasion.
Tyson and I went for a walk out on the ice.
I started hearing the ice crack once I got this far out.....that is the worst sound ever. It literally will stop your heart for a second.
These girls played Frozen for most of the weekend.
Cru enjoyed his basketball hoop, reading books and following everyone around.
We took Jake with us on a little adventure.
On our way up the hill we saw 8 deer running up the hill.
It was a beautiful sight.
So was the view from the top of the look out point.
I loved seeing our condo from above too.
We spotted a bald eagle. SO cool!
The lake was filled with ice chunks. Brrrr!
We named this the hobo house. It was locked up but practically empty.
I think that this home has the best view of the lake.
I wouldn't mind owning this property.
We hiked down the hill and set off to find the bald eagle. Here he is. I snapped one picture before he flew off.
Brooklyn arrived on Friday. We had to get used to holding her in this little brace. She has Hip Dysplasia. She is not in any pain and after 3 months of wearing this cast she should be as good as new.
Her cute little foot.
Cru loves on this baby. He loved watching her every move.
Jake and Logan were so excited to play a new game together.
Lydia loved holding Brooklyn.
Nana brought up coloring pages for the girls.
Girls in their Frozen jammies with sweet baby.
Granddad and Cru at the hot tub.
Jake.
Logan.
One afternoon Scott drove up to his secret spot do some shooting. We all shot his hand gun and his AR.
I had never shot a hand gun before this day. I look like I know what I'm doing....but don't be fooled.
The automatic rifle is pretty sweet. It is so powerful.
New favorite Chicken Taco Salad recipe. Here.
After we went to town to get shakes we came back set off a lantern.
Grandkids all ready for church.
By golly...are those some cute kiddo's or what?!
Everyone took off on Sunday except for us, we stuck around another day and watched the Bronco's get killed in the Superbowl and enjoyed some more condo time.
It was wonderful!
