St. Patrick's Day

It is no secret that I love holidays. An article was recently floating around the circuit about how one lady thinks we need to take holiday's down a notch. You can read it here.  I agreed with some of it and after stewing about it for a couple days I came to this conclusion.

We need to do what works for our own family's. I honestly do find joy in doing little extra things for my daughter and family on holidays. It adds to the magic of the holidays. My Mom made them special for us growing up and I have fond memories of my childhood. I don't feel obligated to do it, I do it because I enjoy it and so does Lydia. I think traditions are important for families. I do my best to get organized so I am not stressing at the last minute and it works for me. She will only be little for a short while and the magic will not last forever. I am going to enjoy it while I can.

With that said, check out these GREEN cinnamon rolls. I used mom's bread machine. That thing did most of the work and Lydia got a kick out of helping me. We started these suckers at 7:00 p.m. the night before St. Patricks day and I have a feeling them will be a great new tradition.

I love the green cinnamon rolls. I try to be creative but honestly sometimes I am just too tired to do much. But I love seeing all your fun creations. Keep up the good work!
