This was Lydia’s first swim suit. As I was packing the other day I came across it, tried it on her and check it out….. it still fits!
She was a little poser for the camera back then (9 months) and still is now (3.9 yrs).
I love being this girls Mom, and I tell her every day. Just this morning we went for a walk down the road, she held my hand the whole time, talked to me about life, picked some flowers, sang some songs, chased some birds, said hello to all the joggers & bikers passing us by and I savored every moment. (She’s anxious to take her Grandad on our special side walk when he comes to visit….and she thinks he’s taking “a yong yong time to get here.”)
Growing big is on a her mind a lot lately. She often tells me to see how much she grew the night before. I ask her why she wants to get so big so fast and her 2 reasons are, so she can be bigger than Caden (which I think she already is) and so she can drive a RED car. I told her we’ll see about that red car, but for now to just love being little.
When she is grown I’ll have the rest of eternity to know her as an adult, the beautiful and talented woman I know she will become. But today, here and now is the only time I’ll get to be her Mom and enjoy her at this age and boy do love my 3 year old.

Laura, Ive told you this before, but I am going to say it again. You are such a great example to me on how to be a good mom....I wish I was more like you. You are so kind, patient, loving, talented and giving. I have so much to learn! Lydia is such a doll...and I love that swimming suit!
oh my gosh! i cannot get over that baby pic of lydia!! squeeze. her. cheeks!!!
I remember that little Lydia! Time flies by way too fast. When I feel like I'm in mothering rut, I sometimes think to myself, "What would Laura do?" Seriously, I think you're one of the best examples of what a mom should be!
